Coronary Angiography Report

I am a male 40 years from Sialkot Pakistan. I had a heart attack almost 2 months ago on 9th of November 2013. I was given SK injection. I went for Angiography on 21st November 2013 who's report is mentioned Below.

Pressures:
Pre-Angio:     Ao=   120/80-93    LV 121    EDP=   14
Coronary Arteriography:(RR 6F / NI)
Left Coronary Artery:
Left Main Stem:         Mild Irregularities

Left Anterior Descending Artery:
Mild Generalized Irregularities and total occlusion at apex

Left Circumflex Artery:
Dominant Vessel with mild irregularities and a long moderate stenosis in proximal OM2.

Right Coronary Artery:
Non-dominant vessel with mild irregularities

LV Angiogram:
Antero apical akinesia with moderate LV systolic dysfunction.
Ejection Fraction= 40%

Management Decision:
Continue Medical management and risk factor modification.

The cardiologist who did my angiography told me that my disease will be treated with medication and if I change my life style, reduce weight quit smoking and take medicine properly then there will be no need of stenting. I am very much worried about my disease. Can any body tell me about it?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
I agree with your cardiologist that lifestyle and medicines are needed for moderate left ventricular diastolic dysfunction. It can also be termed as the early stage of diastolic dysfunction. No specific treatment is needed and lifestyle measures need to be incorporated. The diastolic dysfunction treatment is generally aimed at treating a cause like diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. that leads to a stiff ventricle
Calcium channel blocker drugs may be used to reduce the stiffness in ventricles.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
