Coronary arterial dominance describes which vessel gives rise to the posterior descending artery (PDA), which supplies the myocardium of the inferior 1/3rd of the interventricular septum. The PDA is most commonly supplied by the right coronary artery (right dominant), less commonly by the left circumflex artery (left dominant) or both (codominant).
