Rejected breast implant

My mother's breast implant has broken through the skin, and I can physically touch the actual implant. She can't get into her surgeon until tomorrow. And even if she does get in probably can't have surgery until Thursday. So what can she do until then?

Did your mother have radiation to that skin prior to the implant?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
As long as there is no gross infections (with systemic symptoms of fever, chills, etc.) I would just cover the area with a sterile gauze dressing until her doctor can see her.  Otherwise she should be seen in a local emergency room.
