Ulcerative colitis?

For the last 3 weeks I have had blood and what I think is mucus in my stool.  THe blood is bright red.  The mucus seems to have changed to more of a pus look, almost yellow now.  I have no pain at all...  Any advice on what this could be?

It can be many things that is causing this.  But I agree that anytime there is a change in bowel habits, especially with bleeding, that you should be seen by a doctor.

Those are symptoms of ulcerative colitis and it doesn't have to hurt to be serious.  You really need to get to the doctor and have this investigated.
