Crohns symptoms, normal bloodwork

For 4 months, I have had pain in my lower right abdomen next to my belly button. I ONLY feel this pain while i swallow food. It doesnt hurt my throat to swallow. I had one endo/colonoscopy which showed signs of gastritis and doudenitis. I went for a second opinion after the first doctor did not care that I was still having the pain after months on famoditine.
The second doctor did a CT scan and found small bowel enteritis consistent with crohns disease. I have a second colonoscopy to have biopsies of the infected area.

My question is this: why would my crp and esr be normal but I have thickening of my small intestine? Does this mean that I do not have crohns after all?

Hello and welcome to the forum.  Thank you for your question.  Have you had any update since you posted?  crp testing is more helpful in the area of ulcerative colitis verses Crohn's disease. However, it is not considered a completely accurate marker.  You could have normal blood work and disease activity. This article has a full list of testing they do for Chron's https://www.webmd.com/ibd-crohns-disease/crohns-disease/crohns-disease-diagnosis#1

Have they performed other testing on you at this point?

Thank you for the reply. They have not done any other tests. I go in for my colonoscopy with biospy on Wednesday. I'm confused as to why nobody has done a fecal except to rule out parasites. Is there something else that memics crohns but isnt?
Hello, how did your tests go on Wednesday?  You may not have your results back yet.  Crohn's is mimicked by ulcerative colitis and colitis.  I think some use the phrases interchangeably but they are two separate diagnosis. Inflammatory bowel disease also gets confused in the mix.

Please let me know what the doctor says.
