My mother was a school teacher in the public school system.  From all of the belly aching going on regarding teacher pay, I think she may have been the only teacher in the world who knew how much money she was going to make.  She didn't choose "teaching" in order to get rich.  At the same time, she managed to raise 2 kids and purchase a home on a teachers salary.  I'm sorry that I am not more empathetic.
