DDC NIPT does it ever get easier

I had my doubts about paternity I conceived in JUNE LMP 6/2 I have 28-30 cycles....
I had intercourse with partner A 6/14 6/17 partner B 6/19 4am(so 6/20?) and partner A 6/21 partner A finished all 3 times and partner b pulled out.....
I was sure it was partner A's till my first scans started dating me for most probable ovulation 6/20-6/21 and it freaked me out beyond words
I got partner B to do DDC's NIPT with me on 8/27 got my results 9/18 which excluded him I was beyond happy now two weeks later I want to trust my results but recent false positives from two other females online have made me question my test....
I contacted DDC and due to my uncertainty they offered to review my results and if any questionable circumstances arise they would retest but I don't think I can get partner B to redo it for me I hope that is not the case....
as you can imagine im in a relationship which was rocky at that time and I just can find the courage to tell my partner about my doubts I hope my results are accurate and that when I hold my baby in march that he will look like his father.... it feels like a reoccurring nightmare mentally I want to be happy and not stress about this mistake anymore but its hard ive met enough supportive ladies here also which help distract me and help me want to trust my results but id lie if at the end of the day i could say i didn't still worry.

Like anything else, when looking worriedly for complaints about a company, the results we tend to read with the most attention are the ones where there was a problem.  (Well, online are also trolls' stories to contend with, but I'm talking about people who are telling what really happened to them.)  If someone is satisfied, their likelihood of going online to talk about it is less (even if they were very satisfied).  Someone who is really frustrated will write in a lot, or at least much more forcefully.  This is true in all kinds of transactions (just look up complaints about stores, for example) and is no different when talking about labs.  As a result, while we do hear positive stories on this forum about labs, the ones that catch the eye of worried readers are the (few) negative ones.

The DDC and Ravgen both have very good reputations.  To assess whether your worry is groundless, you have to look at all the comments people have made, and compare people's experiences to your experience, and think about whether something about what the person is describing matches what happened to you, and in general, whether you have a reason to worry if one (or two) other people had a problem.

You did the best you could, and went to a lab with a good name.  It was a very good idea to do so, because your dates were so close.  What you have now is a result that is in line with the fact that you had a lot less sex with the guy that is ruled out, and, although him not ejaculating doesn't prove you weren't exposed to sperm, it can give a lesser possibility of exposure.

In your shoes, I would try not to worry.  See a counselor if it is really bothering you.  Get a test again when the baby is born, and then let the issue rest.

Im in the same boat as you .
Went too ddc because as far as I know it was one of the two trusted labs too go too other being ravgen.
Got my test done on aug 4 results came back on Sep 9 i got an exclusion which is the results I was hoping for now all this has me worried I contacted charmamarie which it is unfortunate her results were wrong she wasn't present when the father did the blood test which leds me too believe maybe he faked the test of course not saying she's lying but for the fact that she wasn't present when the father gave the sample that can be a explanation because you really never know I followed her posts and I saw she posted up on whattooexpect. That the father had been engaged the whole time without her knowing so he did have something too lose perhaps. ? Im due in dec ill will be giving a update .

thank you girl I now I talked to her on occasion and I understand her heartbreak with it but shes sort of ruining it for all of us that may have the correct results at hand..... Ive made friend with a few other girls that have had the test some say to just stay off these forums to not think about it I know at the end of the day we all worry the same.... what was your situation with possibility like? im hoping that my future 4d scans can help find similarities of my boyfriend and this baby

I am doing the DDC test ordered the kit on Tuesday and still haven't received how long did it take for you to get the result back?

Was the test correct for them are do they not know the results yet? DDC does have a good name as AnnieBrooke says we did the most best too do which is what i agree the worry is just scary too think of the what ifs. I had a 4d scan and my baby resembles so much like my partner so that makes me happy too think ddc i believe did get it right.
I had intercourse with my partner 26,27,28 and Well me and the one night stand  (big mistake) had sex using pullout method on 30th . I was so postive it was my partner at first because i know pullout is effective if done properly but my scan conception date said 30th i concieve didn't think anything of it because my ovulation calander says i ovulate 29/30 but those whats if?? got me thinking so i just did the test too put my mind at ease i would just like too enjoy my pregnancy.

We got test done on 08/04
I went in for re draw because according too ddc not enough fetal dna in that blood sample just me the guy i had tested blood was fine on 08/31
Got my results on 09/09 exclusion

I did complain too ddc many times over the time it took too get results even almost canceled because i was so frustrated with the time too get results that I do complain about because they claimed too be ready when i first ordered the test in the 10 bussiness days then without notification they changed it too 20 business days. I guess now they changed it back too 10 days because of the complaints they received

You said you had a kit sent out too you?
Mine had too be done at a local lab and blood was collected from both me and person being tested. I ask this because I know there are many other labs that claim they do the non invasive test but are very very known for being a scam false results as i might say i have done alot of research and came across many companies that do not seem trust worthy be careful

I had to go to a local lab place we got there signed the paperwork verified our details on the vials had a picture with our case number sign taken for proof and they took our place sealed the vials in a biohazard box taped it and gave me the confirmation number... this was on 8/27 I got a call saying my blood had clotted and that I needed to re do mine I was rescheduled for 9/8 and I got my results 8 business days later 9/18

Omg your story is so much like mine! I really hope I didn't get a failed case of the pull out method.... it is very possible that your partners swimmers were still in you have you found out gender?
and like you what creeps me out is the online calculators state I conceived on 6/20 I was with (pull out partner) Friday night 4am well practically june 20th and that's why I worry but im hoping that I ovulated that day and that either I had swimmers from the 17th in there or that the egg lived till the next day when I was with my partner 6/21

also all the old posts ive read have confirmed that their ddc test was correct and that smaller labs who claim to have the same test have been wrong.....

the two girls im in contact with are still pregnant I will be retesting once the baby is here to confirm..

I did contact DDC and told them about the two girls stating they got wrong results and how one had a lawyer...
they offered to review my test results and even offered to retest if we were both willing to but now idk if I can get partner B to redo it we sort of lost contact and our friendship fell through the cracks because when I found out I was expecting I pretty much when ghost mode on him and I guess I hurt his feelings.....

I contacted him in august telling him about the possibility it was hard enough getting him there for the first test due to his schedule and after the results I texted him thanking him for doing it and he never wrote back im sure it crushed him even more.... I don't think I could put him through that again. and I cant find the courage to tell my partner about the mess im really hoping their review does not come back with any concerns and that they just instead assure me that everything is okay

Yes are story does sound very alike .
And that's true im just hoping i just ovualted on the 30th and thats the reason i concived on that date with my partners swimmers.  Im having a baby girl , do you know your babys gender yet?

And same here ddc has been correct on the post I've seen many people didn't believe there results as a i say didn't wanna believe there results because the results were not what they wanted but in the end it turned out too be correct if u go on myfamilylaw.com theres people who came back too comfirm after birth even after questioning it too be wrong.
Who was the other girl other then charamaire claiming too have received a false result? ?
And also how did u get ddc too review your test?

hey girl see for you its more likely its correct as girl swimmers last longer me I still have to worry as im having a boy I really hope in that case that I ovulated 6/21 when I had intercourse with my partner....

the other girl i'm not sure its on the what to expect app forums....
I understand its  a hard situation but if that was me I would be tearing up a storm to be heard and suing the **** out of their *****......

I emailed them on 9/30 stating my concerns and stated the fact that those two women are contesting the accuracy of their results....
I got a call about two days later from someone named chris who explained that they would review and retest if they found any concerns.....
im waiting as they said it may take up to 2 weeks il probably email them reminding them that im pending their review conclusion

Ladies I know my story has put doubts in your mind and I never wanted someone to be hurting through their pregnancy like I am. I wanted to prevent it. I was dealing with Chris a lot throughout my expirence DDC, but all he is is a the call center manager. I am going to sue them and my story is real.
Yes the guy I was seeing ended having a fiancé I knew nothing about. We were not in a committed relationship. I was married for five years got divorced and then had a boyfriend for another two years. I broke up with the boyfriend in June 2013. I did not date or have sex again until jan 2015. I took that time to find myself and focus strongly on finishing my BA and my pushing my career further. In Jan, specifically New Year's Eve I reconnected with an old friend we hit off and saw each other on and off since then. We are both grown adults with busy life's and ever demanding careers. I travel a lot for my job and so does he. I am not a jealous person by nature and honestly I was not looking for a relationship. With that being said he is the only man I have slept with since June 2013.
I will say this DDC would not be in business if they didn't get it right most of the time. So just by the theory of percents since my test is wrong it is more likely that your test is right.
I have several lawyers right now, four to be exact, and we are weighing our options. Everything is on hold until the post birth test. But honestly what do I sue them for, emotional distress and lawyers fees?  They already offered a full refund and free retest but the father refused and is standing by the test he is also the payee.The only thing I can do is force a retest through court and then see what happens.
I honestly don't think he altered the test on his end, the chain of custody was intact and all tubes were labeled correct. When my review came back after 20 some days Chris told me that there was not enough blood to retest but they saw nothing wrong with the orgional test.
If you go back on what to expect you will there are 8 women who have received incorrect results. I don't say this to worry you because honestly your results are probably correct. I just know this for a fact mine are wrong. DDC has tried to fix the error without admitting fault but the father will not budge. Without DDC saying anything is wrong he will not retest. And honestly I give birth in two months so what's the point at this point.
Ladies I am 35 year old professional female with an outstanding career and am self made.
I do truly appologize for causing you strain in you pregnancy my only goal was to prevent females from using DDC not cause harm to those who already have. I am questioning telling my story any more because I feel even though it is true I may be cause more harm than good. As always you may contact me if you would like.

Gender That's only a theory tho not a fact 100% .
But ethier way you would still have your partners sperm alive on ovulation date .
Do you keep track of periods/ovualtion?
Oh yes I saw those they didn't make sense tho , She said she did another one on at prenatal genetics which is a Canadian based labs also known for false results did some research but her story makes no sense she did the test too make her husband enjoy her pregnancy with her but I don't know anyone who would dish out 1700$ dollars just because it sounds very strange .but then again You really never know .Have you heard back from DDC? What was there response too those women saying they received false results.

I really do appreciate that you came and posted about your experience with DDC . I do believe your story when you say you got false results and im very sorry you are going threw this as I can understand it must be such a hard thing too deal with. My best advice too you is too just relax and just wait till baby is born and test. As for chain of custody did you get a copy of id when he gave the blood sample? They made me do that we went in and did the test . Because just an opinion I have heard a story of one man having a friend too go in a test for him then when the female court ordered a test after she knew test results were wrong and in that one he did come out too be an inclusion for being the father. If that's the case sue the father but if that isn't and DDC just got it wrong all together then DDC does need too get sued.  Im due in 2 months as well if my results are wrong I will even back you up . DDC can not be selling this and claiming too be accuarate results people trust these results and it can also ruin lives too . Its not fair and if there not accurate no company should even be selling/doing these prenatal test.

The fact that the guy won't budge on re-testing, especially when he must know by now that a new test is in the future when the baby is born and re-testing won't cost anything, seems to me very suspicious.  Right now, he could to the retest and it would never be a matter of public record.  If he is asked to do it by court order, it will be public record.  He WANTS that?  And when the test results come out that he is the father, he wants his child to have this findable fact in the public record?  (That there was a court fight over paternity?)  He should be talking this over with his lawyer or his fiance or somebody, so he can get sane and re-test now.

Charna, I'm sorry they have only given you a call-center manager to work with.  I would think things would have gone to a higher level by now.

thank you for you experience and no one blames you girl but given your situation I can see why you want to wait it out till birth... do us a favor and keep us updated on the outcome as im sure this will call many retests if its shown to have been incorrect....
that was my fear of testing both men like what if they mess up the tubes etc.... I think I read one scenario in which they compared the wrong dna between mother child and father not really clear on the details but im assuming it was mothers to alleged fathers and it showed an exclusion of course....
I read somewhere else theres a girl claiming she called ddc also and they gave her the test for 800 and asked her for both mouth swabs and blood since they have the price at a discounted rate due to a current "special" im still waiting to see if that is correct as she states it was ddc it would defiantly bring about many more concerns on my part why mouth swabs now  u know.
