who is the dad?

okay so I found out I was pregnant on November 24th. I had unprotected sex on October 20th (got what i think was my period) and then had unprotected sex with someone else between october 30th-November 4th. When I got an ultrasound I was (5 weeks 6 days according to my last period start date) my ges sac was measuring at 4.1 mm. Yesterday I got an ultrasound (12/20/2020 and now measuring around 7 weeks 2 days but still going at 8 weeks 4 days according to last period) my question basically is who is most likely the father? The guy from october 20th or from late october/early november. Please help. I cant stop stressing over it.

If you had a period after the guy on October 20, the dad is not the guy from October 20. Not only did you have a period (a pretty much slam dunk indicator that a woman is not pregnant) but also, if you had the period begin on the day after sex, you would not have been ovulating at that time. Your ovulation would have been more like on the 7th of October. There would have been no egg in your system waiting for a sperm on October 20. Sounds like you got pregnant on November 4.

Annie,  I used to think that experiencing "what I thought was my period" isn't the gold standard for deciding you aren't pregnant.  I really am amazed at how many women I've read,  on forums,  and know in real life who swore they were having regular periods for the first couple months of pregnancy.  I used to just shrug those stories off as being very unobservant women,  but it happens so regularly it seems there's something to it.  Many women experience what appears to them to be a usual monthly period.
RockRose, I have one friend who is certain this happened to her, too. I've also read a lot of women's questions about bleeding that they didn't know how to assess. However, here the woman is asking about a period that came only one day after the sex. Even if very unusual cases happen where a woman has a period after getting pregnant, it wouldn't come one day after ovulation. The hormones that produce a ripe egg have to build up and drop down and the progesterone has to peak and then to stop, and only then a period comes. Even in women with irregular cycles, the irregularity is in the weeks before ovulation, not after ovulation. The hormone action necessary to ripen and pop out an egg is antithetical to the hormone changes necessary to produce a period. It takes a little time, and apparently takes a consistent 14-15 days. She wouldn't have been ovulating on the 20th if she got a period on the 21st.

In this case, the woman's ultrasounds seem definitive without the evidence of her period even being needed. They don't point to October 2o for conception, they point to November 4. But since she came back and asked you to tell her that for sure, it sounded like she would understand more easily if it was pointed out that her period came too soon after the sex to indicate she had been ovulating at that time.
The reason why I think it’s the 4th is because my gestation sac was only about 5 weeks when I got an ultrasound on December 1st and if it was from October 20th I would think it would have been a lot bigger. Like 8/9 weeks.
Also another reasoning for my question was thinking about implantation bleeding but then I found out that usually doesn’t happen for 10-14 days after conception.

Plugging your information into a pregnancy calculator,  it gives you a pretty wide range of possible conception dates.  Their estimation is the pregnancy resulted in sex that occurred between Oct. 27 and Nov. 11.  Best wishes!

What was the date you started your period,  and what due date did they give you when you had your first ultrasound, when the sac was measuring 4.1 mm?  Also,  what was the date of that first ultrasound?

@ROCKROSE My period started October 21st. The day of my ultrasound was 12/1/2020 when my sac measured 4.1 mm. When I first went to the hopsital after finding out i was pregnant (November 25th) My HCG levels were 167.. then two days later were in the 300s.
the due date was july 28th
