Can PE form of there are no DVT

Hello all, I'll try and keep it short and to the point.

I'm a 20 y/o Male and recently had surgery to repair a tendon in my knee, at 3 weeks post surgery I had a scare and went into the ER for blood clots, luckily the ultrasound determined there were none. I was sent on my way and never explained if there were any further risks.
Fast forward a week, and all I've been worried about, after reading online, has been PE's. I also have chronic GERD and some of the symptoms are similar to what they indicate PE can have....my question, should I be worried about anything? It's a constant anxiety attack every time my gerd acts up.

It is possible to have a PE without a DVT, or maybe had a DVT and it became mobile, resulting in a PE. Based on what you’ve said, it sounds like anxiety. Find ways to get that under control, and talk to your doctor about managing that.  Anxiety can certainly cause shortness of breath and chest pain, and as your tendon heals, your chances for a DVT reduce dramatically.
