29, male, no underlying health conditions. Around a month ago I went to the dentist office to have a tooth filled. Nothing out of the ordinary, regular procedure with local anesthetic injection. However, since morning after that day, I've started feeling weird sensation on the edge on my tongue on the side of that tooth, namely I had this weird sensation of tasting a sweet taste there. I could be drinking plain water or tea and still along that edge, I could feel sweetness. Not 24/7 but quite frequently, and at times where absolutely nothing sweet was in my mouth. This later developed to be a bit sour from time to time, but still mostly sweetness. I observed that there are these two bumps along this edge: https://imgur.com/a/DhNR53g , together with this pressed space matching the shape of my other tooth between them. They are not painful or anything but I have no idea how to get rid of them - or this weird sensation of altered taste happening where they are.
I've since had another tooth filled by the same dentist and asked her about her opinion but she said that she had no idea why this may be and maybe it's some local irritation from the anesthetic but that it should clear on its own. Well, 2 weeks have passed from that visit (and 4 from the original visit) and honestly it's not cleared on its own at all.
What can be the cause? Is this tied to that first filling somehow? What can I try to make it go away?
