Clicking/Popping in Tooth

There is a popping sensation that happens sometimes inside one of my teeth when I drink something. This tooth got a filling 2 weeks ago, went back to the dentist last week and he made the filling smaller because he said it could be too high. However, the problem is still there (it happens less often but still there). I’m not sure if it’s the tooth itself or if it’s popping/clicking in between that tooth and the one beside it.
What could this be?
