Confused Tongue, Help?

I have had these white rings near the back of my tongue and one on the tip of my tongue for a few months now. I can scrape them off with a tongue brush but they keep reappearing every morning. They don't change location, they're generally in the same place every time. I thought it might be thrush, but I have had two different doctors run fungal swabs and both came out negative for fungus. Because they can be scraped off, I am assuming that also rules out leukoplakia which can't be scraped off with a tongue brush. If it was geographic tongue, I would assume that it would change location, but it just stays in the same place. Can anyone shed some light on this? The only hint I've got right now is that I took an H2 inhibitor for about two weeks thinking it might be related to acid reflux, and it went away completely for about 2-3 days, then came right back along with a sore throat and cough. Very confused, would love some insight.

Go to the dentist and ask him to check your mouth for cancer. bumps are signs of cancer in mouth. Good look and made go bless you.

I did start noticing a large mass below my tongue on the right side, when I stick my tongue out it sort of lifts over my teeth and it's easy to see. Maybe related? I had a cancer screening about 6 months ago and it was fine, no cancer. It was more of a general screening though, also, would cancer suddenly appear in a 6 month period like this? I was always under the impression that it's a slow thing that happens over time.

HI, This sounds like thrush to me. I would see a naturopath about this problem and I would probaby go back to the drs. I wouldn't go stressing about cancer just yet. I would try taking some inner health plus or yakult as this could be fungal still. Hope it works out for you.

So even though the fungal swabs came back negative for fungus, there's a chance it might still be thrush?

Does anyone have any ideas? I mean, basically the question is, can you scrape off geographic tongue with a tongue scraper? If not then basically I have no idea what the heck is wrong with me. I sure don't have candida, and it's not leukoplakia cause it scrapes off.

It can be candida even though the fungal swabs came back negative, it has been suggested/claimed in newer research that geographic tounge is caused by candida overgrowth.
