Small dull pain after biting hard

I bit really hard on a bone yesterday (didn't feel any immediate pain) and today the molar on the lower jaw is achy. There's a continuous small dull pain that doesn't bother me much unless I think about it. But it's there. I noticed that the tooth is slightly sensitive to hot (more hot than cold). Do you think the tooth's ligament got sprained or could this be a crack in the tooth? Or could this be something else? I want to wait for a few days to see if the pain subsides on its own. I hope I didn't crack the tooth.

It went away on its own.  The dentist couldn't find anything wrong with it. It took about 2 weeks (maybe longer) for the sensitivity to completely go away.
