Allergy to dental material?

I've had a lot of dental work done between May and July. Sometime in May after 3 teeth were prepped and crowned, I started getting dry mouth, burning sensation on tongue/roof of mouth, bitter taste in mouth, tingly feeling on lips and cheek. All of the symptoms are on the left side of my mouth, the side of the 3 crowns. Is it possible this is an allergic reaction to either the crown material or the cement? If not, can these sensations be caused by nerve damage incurred during the procedure? It's been almost three months and the symptoms have not gone away.
