Need Root Canal Insight

I had a very deep hole in my upper left tooth, #2 from the back, not counting wisdom tooth.
The regular dentist said I need to get a root canal from a specialist, which I've done so today.

Once he was finished, he told me; no infections, need to go get a corona from the regular dentist, do not chew anything for 1/2 hours. After over 3 hours I decided to try and eat something, and I tried to chew with my right side only. Soon enough, I accidentally chewed down with the tooth I had the root canal on, and man, did it hurt like nobody's business.
I know it's barely been half a day since the root canal, but is this normal?
I feel some pain from even the pressure of clunching my teeth.

My mother tells me the dentist may have accidentally left a root in, which wouldn't surprise me because he was busy singing and talking to his colleague the entire time.

My crown is going to be done on Thursday, but I definitely don't want to do it without making sure everything's going as it should, first.

Anyway, thanks for any future comments and insights!

Hi, now it's 1 day later and the pain has only gotten worse.
Not only that but now another tooth, the one behind it, is now also sensitive to pressure, even more so than the one I had the surgery on.

But perhaps even more painfully, the filling they've put missed a spot on the sideof my tooth, which now has a VERY sharp edge, and my tongue is being constantly bruised because of this.

I'm definitely going back for them to smooth the side out, and ask for a check up while I'm there.

Post-op pain or sensitivity to pressure is common, which tends to subsides within a week. If the pain occured after chewing activity, it's possible that there may be tooth crack. Going back to your endodontist to have a post-op exam is advised.
