Oral Surgery

OK....hope SOMEONE can point me in the right direction; I am tired of hitting brick walls behind every door I open.

In 2005 I had oral surgery: Partial jaw disection and reconstrution with fibula free...things have only gotten worse for me...short version; I continue to have major swelling and pain on an hourly basis. And because my fibula is too thin, I live with possible fracturing.

No infection at or around wounded area; however, in January, I had a low grade fever which let to a massive sore throat, dry heves....went to er, was told I had allergies, went to a dentist was told I had an abcess and cavities...

this month same symptoms...when right to another dentist and was told nope you don't have abcesses nor do you have cavities where previous dentist said I had...just the one tooth they fixed MIGHT not have gotten cleaned out right....

My jaw swells worse around my cycle. So I went to my family doc and asked for birth control pills to stop my cycle so I will have minimum swelling. I had side effects to the pills but worked my way through it but when I had a 'break through' my face swelled 100% worse...so I had to quit the pills.

Oral surgen cut my gland so I thought I had gland issues, had some symptoms that indicated thyroid problems....did a battery of bloodwork...end result; not gland related.

Daily I have teeth sifting, gum swelling, jaw swelling, incesion swelling, ear pain...which eventually leads to neck pain, shoulder pain...when I get a low grade fever and sore throat I emediately go to er (who tell me, oh you only have allergies) dentist (who says, this is puzzling, no infections...or you have abcesses) I get them fixed only to be back in the same boat a few months later....

I am trying to deal w/ the jaw issues, I understand it is for life, but these other underlying issues are become the straw which is about to break the camels back....

Please, ANY advice
Warm Regards

Hey thanks, I just went to my doc yesterday and she sent me BACK to the dentist...I asked to be referred to an ent but I like the opinion of a vascular doctor because one of titanium clip is right in my scar tissue...after reading about rare but titanium 'allergies' I think I will look up a vascular doctor in my area....

Warm Regards

Acute swelling is commonly associated with infection, allergy, and circulation. it appears that infection and allergy  are not the cause. you may need to see a vascular doctor to manage your problem.
