Oral Thrush

Hello :) I am a 30 year old male and I have a question about my tongue please. My tongue has a rough white coating all over it with raised red and white bumps in the middle towards the back of the tongue, also, my tongue burns once in a while,  I assume what I have is oral thrush, it appears to be only on my tongue nowhere else in my mouth. I have had this for a long time now (at least 2+ years) and I cannot get rid of this problem at all. I do not smoke, chew tobacco, drink, take any antibiotics, or have any dental appliances such as dentures, I am not diabetic either so those problems can be ruled out. The only medication I take is Tramadol for pain. I'm not sure what causes this to be chronic. Could this possibly be thrush, oral cancer, cancer in another part of my body, or a infection somewhere else? Thanks for your help and have a great day! :)

The give away sign for oral thrush is that you can wipe away the white material on top of your tongue.  That usually leaves a raw red tongue underneath.  It it doesn't wipe off, its not oral thrush.

If it is, its treated with anti-fungals.

Does the wipe patches move around?  You may have geographic tongue.
