PAIN AFTER BRIDGE WORK

Two weeks ago I was at dentist to have my Bridge work done.  Dentist removed temporary bridge and tried to scrap off some cement that was holding Temp Work he couldnt get it off...so he drilled it off from the back Molar I NEARLY HIT THE ROOF anyway 2 injections later he could finally remove the cement on the Molar.  This Molar did have a large filling in it.  Dentist did say it was suitable to hold the bridge work because it was a strong tooth, anyhow Bridge work in place and all looking good...only... when injection wore off Molar at the back holding the Bridge was painfull to cold and eating on...not enough pain to keep me awake at night or anything but enough for me to eat on the other side. I did go back to the dentist a week later and he said it would settle.. I am not sure..an maybe neither is he...can you get root canal treatment once a bridge has been fitted permanently?? I really hope I dont need it?  Christobell90

One cannot answer your question without seeing and analyzing the exact situation. It would be better that you immediately see a doc.

Your dental pain may result from occlusal interference of temporary restoration or pulp infection. Going back to your dentist to have further occlusal adjustment is advised.
