Painful gums

I had an old filling removed because I had a crack in the tooth. A part of the tooth was removed and an inlay I believe it was called, not a full crown was put in. Five days later and the whole side of my face hurts my gums hurt and I now am sensitive to cold and hot.

Consulting your dentist would be the best option. He can better examine the main reason for the pain and suggest you the better solution for getting read of the pain.
