Red and inflammed gums

I have done some research and know this is probably gingivitis.
I do not have insurance and can not find a dentist to see me because I would need to make payments.
Is there a way I can try to treat this myself.

Good gum health is easy to attain - floss at least once a day twice if necessary - brush teeth with a baking-soda and hydrogen-peroxide toothpaste at least two times a day - I'm surprised non baking-soda/hydrogen peroxide toothpaste is still as widely used.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
You probably need a good professional cleaning at this point, I would suggest you get an electric toothbrush, floss twice a day,eat hard foods(apples, carrots etc.) and save your money to see a dentist. You might try to go to a dental school or a school that has a hygiene program or a hospital that has a dental residency program--these places will have a lower fee base.

gngivitis can be treated by good homecare and brushing/flossing correctly. but you probably need to see a hygienist to have hard deposits (calculus) professionally removed (yu cant do this on your own). you also need to see a dentist for the correct diagnosis. what looks like gingivitis may very well be more involved than that, especially if you havent had a professional cleaning in a while.

there have been some interesting results from the use of mangosteen juice (Xango) in the treatment of inflammed gingiva.
