Teeth on the roof of my mouth

I have two teeth growing in the roof of my mouth just behind my two front teeth.  You can actually see them now, and they seem to be popping out more and more.  Should these be removed?  The one is really bothering me, I can't help running my tongue over it constantly - I guess I'm just hoping it has disappeared or something - LOL.  What could cause this at age 43????
