Two different recommendations from dentists...deep cleaning

I went to the a new dentist because my old one was out of network. The new dentist told me my bone looked looked good, did a debridement and told me to come back for a cleaning in 6 weeks. They also did 2 fillings. One of which was a wisdom tooth (not sure why, but ok). I went to my old dentist to have him look for an infection because of other reasons. He told me I needed several fillings and a deep cleaning. I am unsure what to do. My gums are sensitive but they don't bleed when I brush or floss. Getting the deep cleaning will exhaust all my benefits for the year. I don't want to do something that isn't necessary. How can one dentist see one thing and the other not?
