Why are my lymph nodes swollen and neck stiff?

My neck is painful to move and was told by my gp the lymph nodes in my neck are causing this discomfort. I had a wisdom tooth removed over 3 weeks ago and this discomfort started about a week ago. Not sure if they could be linked. I also feel like I have something stuck in my throat. My throat isn’t sore, it’s just an annoying sensation. My main problem is my neck. Starting to worry it’s something more serious.
