A triangular piece of skin peeled off my gums between two bottom teeth in the back while I was brushing my teeth. I don't know if any fluid came out, if it did it was while I was brushing and wouldn't notice. The surrounding gums are pale pink. There is no tooth pain, no sensitivity while eating or drinking anything, no fever, and no discomfort at all. I never noticed the formation of a blister or sore or anything so I don't know what happened before this skin peeled off. A piece of the skin was left hanging but must have fell off while I was sleeping. There was some blood, but very minor. If there was any pus, I didn't see it.
Sometimes I'll get this gum swelling in between teeth at random areas with no rhyme or reason. Then I get paranoid, thinking it's an infection, then the swelling goes away on its own before I see a dentist and the dentist can find no sign of infection but also has no explanation for what happened either. I suppose this could be another one of those situations but this would be the first time the skin actually peeled, and since I didn't see what happened before it peeled I wouldn't know.
