Are you homeless? If so, or about to be, or have been and might be soon again, look for places, centers, that help the homeless. Go to as many as you need before you get dental help. If your teeth are on their way out, they may be able to pull them and give you dentures. The root canals and other things cost more I think. Not sure. I know root canals are ridiculous. And that's before the crowns. I once volunteered for a place that works with homeless.
i wasn't in long enough. i tell my friend who's getting out in june how much i envyed him for doing a more serious crime than i did. this is the God's honest truth i met my dentist in osbourne he was in the next block and i told the dentist there could i have my dentist fix my teeth and he said "sure if you want to wait that long" and i in my sarcastic way said "can i get him now? he's right down the hall"
I suppose its just all in where you live. The schools in TX are great, less than half the price of private practice and pride in the work thats produced. Its sad to see that its not that great everywhere.
i live in ct too and the dental school are not very much cheaper here. with the past couple years the schools have more than tripled their rates and they have a long waiting list and a pay up front only option. my relatives in ca have great luck with the local dental schools both with prices and services but not here. i agree with strat to google like crazy and maybe you will get lucky. since the economy has gone down the pot even charities have less help to give but dont let that keep you from trying. next time aim for a ritzier prison with a better dental program. my friends ex was sent away for tax evasion and was released a year later with beautiful teeth.
The dental school near you has discounted fees, that would be the best place. Look up your medicare plan and see if you are covered for dental....if you are, just google medicare dentists in your area. You can also check your state dental board website for information on charity dental work in your area.
