Alcohol consumption and prescribed drugs

It seems like I have a lot of prescriptions.  Lexapro, Valtrex, Prilosec, daily; Spirolact, (diurectic); Topral XL; I just ran out of my prescription for Campral, (to re-fill or not?); some kind of antihistemine..can't recall the name, a topical ointment for Rosecea....just got prescribed ZOCOR for cholesterol (haven't picked up yet...).  The thing is, I'd like to have beer or wine, if I could... Oh I don't know.  I have a hx of depression and alcoholism, too.  I don't want to wake up yellow from jaundice one day.  How dangerous is mixing all this?  Here it is... I just need a few comments/suggestions, I guess.

Psychiatric medications and alcohol do not mix very well.My suggestion is to stay off them.

I think that with your history that you should abstain from all alcohol (for now at least).
I think that if you have concerns that you should consult with your doctor.
I think it would be wise to have that consult and discuss what is and isn't needed.

I think the alcohol may have a greater influence on being jaundiced or not.

Check with your doctor and check out Dr Gould's free three day trial of his new program on his website (myvirtualshrink.com).

Good luck and take care.
