Do I need In Patient

I have been diagnosed with ednos for a year now.  I have had an eating disorder for 5 years.  I purge everything I do eat and use laxatives and diuretics when I can.  If I'm not eating and urging then I'm constantly starving myself.  y nutrtionist and therapist say that they think I need in paitient treatment, but I don't know.  I'm at a normal weight and only damage I have sufered from throwing up is acid reflux disorder.  They're still doing test on my heart.  But, do you think I need in paitient treatment?

DO WHAT YOU FEEL IS BEST. MY MOM DOESN'T UNDERSTAND ME AND IS HURT TOO BUT SHE WANTS ME BETTER. IF YOUR MOM LOVES YOU SHE WILL LET YOU GO TO TREATMENT TO GET WELL. YOU HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT YOU AND NOBODY ELSE. I THINK TREATMENT WILL BE GOOD FOR YOU AND IT HAS HELPED MANY PEOPLE. IT CAN'T HURT TO TRY.

I think you have given the answer to yourself..you want too because you know you need help, and that is what is important in this case..you can ask the treatment team to talk to  your mother and find out why she objects and that might make it easier for you;

I would trust your treatment team and accept a place at an in-patient clinic/ hospital.

What you're doing is not healthy and it sounds like you may need support in changing your behaviors.

Even if no more damage is identified, it is best to treat these behaviors now.
I hope for your sake that acid reflux is all you have.

A person can be a normal weight and not be healthy.  You would want to be a healthy normal.

You need to talk to your mum, but you also need to do this for you.  Your mum will come round.  Maybe not now, but later.  I expect she only wants the best for you.

Many people have entered treatment and have made good recoveries.
Many people also struggle with psychological issues and find re-feeding traumatic.
It is a process, but recovery is possible.
A positive attitude makes a good prognosis more probable.

Best wishes.  You can do this!!

I think it would be helpful but at the same time I have people(my mom) who doesnt want me in treatment.  Although she was screaming at me and putting a sandwhich in my face.  I want to go to treatment it's just my mom.  Who I'm also afriad to talk about to because she gets to hurt.  Do you know anyone who has gone into treatment and made it to recovery?
