Why do I keep smiling and Laughing?

I would like to know why I keep smiling and laughing when i argue with my girlfriend, I don't find it funny or hillarious.
I need some advice about it as soon as possible please because it's gonna make me loose my girlfriend.
What could I do to stop that happening?

That response is anxiety showing up in your automatic response system.  What are you anxious about...is it what you really want to say and don't say...probably, and that's where you have to start looking so you can have a continuous series of honest conversation with your partner.

Perhaps you are just really nervous. Sometimes we tend to laugh when we are nervous. Talk to her about it. Tell her that you don't think it is funny it just happens. Do this when you are both calm and not while you are fighting. If done when you are in the middle of a fight it will be less believed. Just a thought as I am not a doctor.
