Auditory hallucinations with Major Depression?

I already know a little but could still use an opinion on the subject. I've been reading up on some symptoms I've been having with my Depression and Anxiety. Recently I've started hearing voices that aren't actually there. I feel like I'm cracking up(but not in the funny way) It's only happened a few times but do you think it could become a permanent issue if I don't get help for it soon?

I've been struggling with depression for years but I never heard any voices before and it's got me worried. I'm debating whether an ER visit would be fruitful or not. I am currently awaiting a response from a free program known as charity care here in my area. Been waiting a week now.

I do believe hallucinations can happen when you have major depression and anxiety. I know when mine was at it's worst I had this happen. Not hearing the voices but mainly seeing things, especially right when I was waking up. Once I got my depression and anxiety more under control all of this stopped.
Do you have any idea when you will able to get back on the program?

If you have done this many times before, don't you have the information on free clinics already. ER care costs a lot and someone has to pay for it, even if you don't pay your bill. If it is because you don't have a doctor, then a free clinic or urgent care is the way to go. You can also look up free clinics with google for your area if you have lost the address.

Once I get on the program I will be able to see a doctor anytime. The program is for low or no income people such as myself and it allows us to set up appointments without insurance or a copay. It's almost like a temporary insurance. It lasts six months and then you need to reapply. Mine ended in August last year and I've only just now gotten my paperwork in.

I am thinking the same thing. Go see a doctor but it would have to be the ER since I have no doctor at the moment. Probably will ease my mind a little bit and they'd probably write me a prescription for some antipsychotics or something, give me some information on free clinics and then tell me to follow up with a real doctor in a few weeks. I've done this many times but not by choice so I know the whole script by now.

I asked this same question to someone else who told me she herself had the same issue when her depression was at its worst. I believe her since lately my depression has been the worst of my life so far. But I am gonna go to the ER on monday since I have the day off. Gotta be up in 2 hours to go to work but can't sleep so that's why I checked this. Thank you for the input.

I don't think hearing voices is a symptom of depression, but maybe others have had it too.  I think you should discuss this with a doctor, to put your mind at rest.

How does this charity care work?  Are there doctors to help you.
