I don't know what i have.

It started in February, I had a panic attack, it felt horrible, I thought I was going to die, I went to the er, and they checked me and said everything was ok,it was a panic attack, after that everything was ok for a couple of months. In May i went to Florida on vacation and started to feel these terrible headaches that wouldn't go away, pressure on my forehead, head and neck, sometimes i felt dizzy and very strange and sometimes i felt i was going crazy. When i came back home i went to the doctor had a catscan and an MRI and everything was fine, so the doctor said that it was a sinus infection, so she gave me antibiotics,  while I was taking them I felt better, but when I finished them the symptoms came back so I started taking an over the counter medication for the sinus: Sinux. So since then Im taking sinux because if i don't take it i start feeling that im going crazy, and i even start feeling that im going to have a panic attack again, i don't know what to do, and i dont want to go to the doctor again i have spent a lot of money, what can it be? I feel very strange sometimes I feel im going to die.

Specifically there is a neurotransmitter  in the brain called "serotonin" which controls mood, heart beat, some of metabolism and sleeping... Sometimes there is a lack on the production of this neurotransmitter in the brain and the treatment has to be via medication who regulate this production or acting recycling the serotonin. There is a natural supplement called 5HTP (read more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/5HTP) which helps you in a natural way to produce more of this transmitter and make you feel better about this mental state... Others are the recyclers SSRI's (Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. Read more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selective_serotonin_reuptake_inhibitor). All of these meds can help you to feel better and go over this panic disorder. If you can not go to see an specialist maybe you could start by taking 5HTP, you can buy it on any GNC is natural, no adverse effects and it costs like $20 usd with 60 capsules to take one a day.

Blessings!

i think in panic situations we all have our own triggers it seems like you associate thetaking of the sinux with stopping the panic attacks from recurring because you had a sinus infection these do make you lightheaded dizzy and give you forehead and facial pain in turn the stress of worry can give you muscular tension in your head and neck i know as i have experienced all of this first hand i also work at the ear nose and throat dept of hospital where lots of sinus patients are treated i have also had panic attacks for four years and i know well the feelings of going crazy !!! or i think im gonna die im sure its all related to your anxiety its a truly horrible feeling i know really i do i too had cbt therapy and its the best thing ive ever done its helped so much . i hope this helps a little knowing your not alone God bless you

Everyone has different causes of anxiety, i have had anxiety and panic attacks for 16 yrs now and i don't take medication. I had cbt therapy which helps you find out what makes you anxious and how to deal with those thoughts. When i panic now i try not to fight i that makes it worse if i accept it as a panic attack and that it won't do me any harm it goes away quicker. I get that too though the crazy feeling the palpitations and stuff and it sounds alot like anxiety, it can be treated though, talk to your doctor about maybe getting some therapy for it. I wish you all the best with this.

I start feeling that Im going to have a heart attack, like palpitations, that I can't breathe, that Im going crazy having strange thoughts of dying, but I read some posts in the anxiety forum and I think that is what I have, and I want to ask if there is a way to get better without medications, what causes anxiety? is it a lack of some mineral or sthg in your body? and thank you for your help, i felt better already knowing that im not the only one feeling like this,

Dear licht,

First could be important to know what "triggers" your panic attacks, what are your fears, you say: "I feel very strange sometimes I feel im going to die" but, when you think about this, what in your system do you think is going to fail, what exactly do you think is going to happen to you? I mean, how do you feel you're going to die? There is a lot of people who think they are going to have a heart attack while in the middle of a panic attack, in your case, what is your feeling?

If you say is sinus you might me afraid of suddenly stop breathing and then the brain reacts triggering the self defense mechanism of run or fight... let us know more about this please, so we can help you better.

Blessings!
