Also this is coming form 2 different Dr. And both of them know all of the other meds, I am on. And it is a lot!!! TO THE DR,S ONLY PLEASE ! My question is this save?
Yes that is not an unusual combination for any doctor to prescribe for depression and anxiety dissorder.
Like Bob_D said, BE CAREFUL with the Xanax. It is a very safe drug, but can be very addictive. I know because I am addicted to Xanax. You will know if you become addicted to Xanax if you get to a point where it takes more than 2Mgs a day to help with the anxiety.
Don't abuse the Xanax because at high dosages, once you become addicted the withdrawl is absolutly horrible. Keep that Xanax dosage under 1Mg a day or less and you will be safe.
It's a very common combination. Xanax can be abused, so be careful with it. Xanax is not an antidepressant, BTW.
do your research on the xanax. it can be hell on earth if you let that drug get away from you. i don't say that to scare you...only to warn you that it is usually not intended for daily usage as you would use a preventative. i suppose it's like if you had a sore leg from doing a lot of work during the day. you probably wouldn't want to take morphine for it. on the other hand, if you broke your leg and the bone was sticking out...you'd want morphine. likewise xanax isn't designed to be taken any time you feel anxious. it's designed for the times where you literally can't function because you're so anxious/depressed. i suggest doing research on the effects of long-term daily use of xanax has on your mind. i only suggest that because it's a good idea to be well informed about the drug since most doctors don't see a need to educate their patients on it.
anyway, as i said i don't intend to scare you...xanax can be extremely effective with low risk of dependency if it's used correctly.
I would say yes, did you ask your doctor? Usually docs check to make sure there isn't a conflict. If you are really concerned, call your pharmacist. We can only give opinions here, so check with a professional. If these are the only drugs your on, it's pretty safe, if you have more then talk to your doctor.
