Bless you young lady. I am so sorry you are feeling so depressed at the moment.
I did not know that the thyroid function was supposed to be tested before anti depressants are prescribed. That is interesting. I know it is not the reason I had depression, but I was tested years later. My depression came from nowhere. Just one of those things. It popped up out of the blue.
I do hope the anti depressants ease your illness soon.
Take care
Well you should get your thyroid tested. It can cause all kind of mental symptoms. Just search on thyroid mental symptoms on Google. Get your Dr to test your tsh, free t4 and free t3 and post your labs in the thyroid forums and those great people will help you interpret the results. Did you know your thyroid is suppose to be tested before antidepressants are prescribed. All the best and I'm here if you need to talk.
Thank you for your kind words I don't know what to do with myself right now I've been to the doctor and I'm on antidepressants but also take klonopins for anxiety it's just feels like nothing is working right now thank you for replying to my post but I think I need to go lay down. To answer your question no I've never had my thyroid checked out
I know how your feeling. I'm 24 and started feeling depressed at 15. I hate to see you're going through this and I can totally relate. You're a great Mom and these things aren't you're fault but you have to fight for your daughter. She loves you just the way you are.I think eeveryone has their issues but when its affecting you this much its time to get help. I know you've been strong and will continue to do so. Just don't give up on yourself. I know how it feels to get visions about ending it all and thinking others are better off without you and those dreadful suicide thoughts. I'm still dealing with these things. But please be strong. Also please inbox me anytime you want to talk and we can talk more about it. Also did you get your thyroid checked?
