What do I do to help?

My cousin recently moved up two doors away from me. A while a go, we found that she kept having absent seizures and fainting from time to time. We brought her to the hospital, but they didn't know what it was. No one did. A month passed and her condition changed. She still had absent seizures, but, now, she awoke from them in an awfully woozy manner. She wasn't acting like herself and she didn't remember anything after that. After another month it got much, much worse. She's getting large scale hallucinations, now, very often. She's become incredibly depressed to the point where she doesn't care about anyone or anything, nor does she believe anyone cares about her. She tried to commit suicide this morning. She threw up the pills, thank god, but I don't know what to do. She's being looked at, now, I think. I don't know what's wrong and I don't know how to help her. Does anyone know what I can do?

Hello.  We first want to make sure she is safe.  Whether she had thrown up or not, seeking medical care for her is essential.  That is a time to call 911 if you see someone in that situation.  Her parents need to be alerted.

Here are some resources for her:

Website:  http://www.suicide.org

Phone Numbers:  1-800-SUICIDE
(1-800-784-2433)

1-800-273-TALK
(1-800-273-8255)

She can also text with someone. Text START to 741741 to talk to someone at Crisis Text Line - crisistextline.org.

We wish you and your cousin the best.
