Well im a 16 years old and I've been feeling down all the time. I feel that there is no purpose in life for me anymore. This has been going on for a few years now. Also I noticed that my feelings for school has changed I use to love school and always was on honor roll but now im failing and I don't really care I also rather stay home then go to school because I hate it now and don't know why. Then I don't really like myself and I don't really talk to anyone im a loner. Last i think im a bad person and dying all the time.

I agree with all of the above and remember that in life we have our ups and downs but as time passes situations change and things aren't always going to be bad, things get better and the bad moments will pass,I've been there. If you believe we are only here once then make the most out of life and pick yourself up and be somebody. You can do it.Never give up and always remember god loves you.He loves us all.Take care.

Good morning or evening or day or night or afternoon and hello. I am going to have a very difficult time calling you by your username, Train Wreck. Doesn't have much of a ring to it. Anyway, my name is Hamed Khatiz and I am a sixteen year old student, adviser, friend, former friend, drummer, writer, shooter guard, human being and many more from Sydney NSW. What I am going to do tonight is tell you a cuople of the reasons you mihgt be feeling this way.

Let me begin by sayign this right off the bat. This is not to be taken lightly. You are sixteen years old, so am I and so you are exceptionally vulnerable to this disease. And it is a disease. Depression is serious and that is a tragic miscnception, all too common.

I heard in your continuation of this question, you are not getting enough sleep. Especially in teenagers, sleep is very important in curing and preventing depression. 8pm to midnight is the time where Seratonin (sometimes called the happy hormone) is produced in your body and when you do not get enough sleep, you do not get enough Seratonin, you slow down, you feel sluggish, you are not motivated, you are sad. These patterns of living lead to depression. This is somehting you can change in your lifestyel with relative ease. No drama at all, usually and this is many times linked to low grades and demotivation for school. Get enough sleep and you will see dramatic changes.

Furthermore, you need someone to tlak to personally, someone who you could call at three in the morning in the middle of an emergency. Someone who you know can always be there for you and I mean always and immediately. I mean a consultant, a psychologist, they will help you immensely.

I want to also very quickly address the feelings you have about yourself. Make an honest list of your flaws and good traits. What do you like about yourself, what do you knwo you can do well. Get someone to analyse it and make sure you have nothing on there that simply isn't there in real life. What do I hate about myself? My green skin. Stuff like that has to go and then go around and look for people with those good traits. Begin with the good always.

Not judging them, but evaluating them, just see who has the same traits as you. Friends, support love!! People who can help you are the people you have stuff in common with. Age, style, personality, gender, race, whatever. And you will be surprised how much stfuf would eliminated from that list.

It is never nice to be in that posiiton and I wish I could some wherever you are in the world and help you personally, but I cannot. I have given it my best shot at explaining the condition and why you might be feeling what you are and giving you some methods. Limits of the internet.

Smile, love, live, you are beautiful, Khatiz.

I feel sad for you and I hope you feel better.  Things that may help us to see a counselor or a pastor and be very honest about how u truly feel.  U can't fix what u don't acknowledge.  Also at your age it would probably help to hang out with kids your age or maybe pick up a sport.  Also except use can help mood by making u feel better.  Further more--- know that there are caring people in the world.  Also --- it's easy to let things spiral out of control when  u are sad or don't care.   It may help for awhile to play the role of someone who is happy and maybe it will be real sooner than u might think.
I realize I'm going on.... But if anything I'm saying helps its worth it......
Last knw that you are very young and life changes and so will u.....
I wish u all the best and u got us if u need us.

Sounds like you're having a very difficult time. I had to take a break from college because I could not handle school at the time. Think about seeing a pyschologist. They will be of support to help you with your mental wellness. Hang in there
