Hi. I'm 62 but when I was a kid, I went thru all kinds of stuff b/c I felt disconnected from the family. Worried about them. Worried I was adopted. Kids think all kinds of things and worry alot. I think much more so nowadays as the tv & the world gives them more to be concerned about.
Instead of punishment, why not sit down w/her & ask her if there is something she's worried about, would like to talk about with you. you could tell her its wrong to intrude on someone's private messages but that you love her anyway. nothing breaks that bond.
I just think she needs to know, mom. She's just a kid.  God bless.

Hi. Did you tell her before not to touch your phone?. If you di then I guess she  would have known it was wrong. Did she say why she did it?, yes, something could be worrying her. If you saw a diary lying on her bed.....would you read it?.

Why would you punish her? I've looked through my mum's phone but because I thought she was lying to me and all this stuff. I thought she hated me and was secretly doing stuff behind my back and hiding stuff from me. I know it was wrong but it's because I love my mum. Maybe you should cut her some slack. And think about why she did it, I think you should just leave the situation.
