Heavy limbs and breathing

Just wondering, is it normal for your arms and legs to feel very heavy when you are depressed? I'm pretty sure I have depression and low mood of some kind which is always there, but during very low points, some times it is hard to move my limbs or even walk, I have to sit down where I am standing and wait. And my breathing feels very slow. This feeling only happens during when I am really depressed, so I don't think it's a symptom of another sickness, but should I see a doctor about it in case it is?. I'm not currently on any meds.

The heaviness you feel can be a symptom of the depression.  Dealing with it is extremely exhausting and can meke you feel like this or like you have chronic fatique.  Please mention to your doctor about the fatigue and if there may be another med that you can take or if a supplement can be added to deal with the fatigue.  I take Concerta to help with attention issues and fatigue. If you cannot find the energy to go out to exercise, add some extra chores inside the house to keep you moving. I have been there and know it gets better.  Keep your spitits up and look forward to that day.

I am interested to read of your ailment as I have some similar symtoms which I attribute to acute fatigue caused by long term depression.  I also get bouts of sudden exhaustion where I have to stop whatever I am doing to recover - this sometimes takes up to 45 mins..
I am on medication and do frequent excercise which is therapeutic.
