Allergic reaction or something else?? Please help

A few days ago I noticed these small pimple like dots all over my arms but mostly in my upper arms. Throughout the day I noticed that I also had bumps all over my legs, stomach, back, ears, and even my feet (soles) and hands (palms). These spots do not itch but they are extremely red and look very VERY gross. There are hundreds all around my body and this seemed to happen randomly. The only place that does not seem to be affected is my face. However, I keep waking up with very swollen lumpy lips. I went to my family doctor yesterday and he told me that it seems like some sort of allergic reaction so he prescribed both a steroid ointment and medication (loratadine). The thing is I do not feel any difference whatsoever. I see no improvement with the condition of my skin at all. And I don’t even want to leave me house because of this weird rash all around my body. The worst part is that it is summer and it is very hot and I have no idea what to do. I have been googling so much that I am so worried that this may be something other than an allergic reaction. I did ask my doctor if this could be related to scabbies but he told me that it does not look like scabbies. He also asked me if I had used any new creams or detergent etc, but as of now I have not changed anything in my daily routine. I have also been at my house this entire time so I cannot blame the sun. The only different thing that I can think of is a medication that I have been taking for the past 15 days called griseofulvin which was meant for a supposed fungal infection that I had on my nail. But it has been days since I’ve been taking that medication and it’s only been just 2 days ago that I noticed this weird pimple like rash all over me. I would like to add that, although this rash does not itch in general if I do scratch or put pressure on the dots I do get a little itchy.

Like I said I’ve only been on this medication for 2 days so maybe I should wait it out. But since I hardly see any affect I’m very worried and scared.. I cannot stop googling things.. I don’t know if I should visit my doctor again or go to the hospital.

It certainly doesn't hurt to call your doctor and let them know that you haven't seen a change yet- but I would encourage you to stop Googling your symptoms.  Google is the worse doctor and only gets you worked up about what you are seeing.  Your doctor is going to be the best source for information- so give them a call.  Let us know how you are doing!

Thank you for your response! You're definitely right, google is the worst.. I ended up going to the hospital to get it checked out from another physician and he recommended that I stop taking a particular medication I had been taking for days previous to my allergic reaction. Sure enough I have begun to notice a significant difference. The red marks are (slowly but surely) fading away!
