Are boils contagious?

So my 13 years is always getting boils just as soon as one heals another comes. Different parts of her body.  I've taken her to the dr but it's usually healing so they don't do anything. This has been going on about a year.
So recently in the past 3 weeks one week . My other daughter 22 year old got one on her thigh,  the next week my 2 year granddaughter on her arm and this week me on the top of my foot. We've all made the mistake of popping them and are extremely painful. Just realizing we have a pattern. Help!!!
