Bright red skin rash like sunburn

Two days ago I noticed a bright red rash that looks like sunburn all over my body (not my face). It hurt to the touch. It has since gone away mostly (no redness) but now I am extremely itchy. I don't have a fever but I have a headache, some nausea, body aches and pains (especially in shoulders, jaw, and lower back) and fatigue. I just don't feel right and I am having a hard time concentrating or focusing on studying (I'm a full time student). The itchy is driving me insane! Please help.

Book an appointment to see your doctor.  You may have an infection and may need a course of antibiotics.
Think about whether you have been scratched or bitten by anything - an animal, insect, plant.
Make an urgent appointment to see your doctor.

I currently am overcoming this exact same thing! I went to bed at 10:30 p.m. last Sat. night, and slept until 2 p.m. on Sun. I felt as if I'd been hit by a truck, and had been experiencing this sunburn-like rash that itched like crazy all over my back, chest, arms, and legs. I am a kindergarten teacher and 53 years old. I wondered if I had some strain of the flu passed on by a student, but had no nausea or other flu symptoms other than a low-grade fever. What did you find out? My itching and rash are dissipating but I have been dealing with this for about 10 days  now. I just felt like "something was wrong" and I was not feeling like myself, but couldn't put my finger on it. I also had blurred vision, lower back pain, achy joints in my hips and shoulders, and no energy.

This will sound crazy, but carbon monoxide poisoning has caused such rashes. Google coach house and rash and carbon monoxide.

I never had any rash when I had carbon monoxide poisoning.
I did have fever, felt very unwell with a rash that was caused by an infection due to be scratched by a cat.  By any scratch to the skin is entry for bacteria to enter and cause an infection.

With working in kindergarden, there is always the possibility of getting measles if you have not been immunized against this.
Fever with a rash is usually that your body is fighting an infection or a severe reaction to an allergy.
