Red bumps on hand not itchy

After watering the plants one night, I noticed a raised red bump on the top of my hand which was inflamed. I thought it was an ant bite even though it was not painful and did not itch. It has been three weeks and the bump has only slightly receded. Two fresh bumps have appeared next to it although a bit smaller. It appears to be moving across my skin. What could this be?

Thanks for the feedback. I was able to make it into the dermatologist the next day and he diagnosed it as sporotrichosis. Apparently, something that I picked up in the garden through a ***** on the hand from a rose bush. It's a fungus and the old-timey treatment that he has me on his SKK1 - potassium iodide solution for several weeks. It's already looking better. Thanks again!

Hello,
Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but it can be contact dermatitis, insect bite or infection of the hair follicles. Pls keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful.Application of calamine helps in soothing the skin.In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed.Pls consult a dermatologist in that case.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or in case you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
