Bumps on hands

I have developed some bumps on my hands which have developed near some scars. I think they migt be contagious because my mom has gotten some on the inside of her hands and they are spreading on my hands, as well as some starting on my legs. They don't itch at all, They are about the size of the tip of a pincil, and they are skin colored so for the longest time I just thought they were little bumpy-like scars. I saw a docter and asked him what he thought they were are he told me to use hemoroid cream, which didn;t work AT ALL. What do you think they are and what could I try to do to treat them?

Hello,
From the symptoms it can be warts, lichen nitidus, eczema or blocked hair follicles.

Lichen nitidus is a chronic inflammatory disease of unknown etiology characterized by 1-2 mm, discrete and uniform, shiny, flat-topped, pale flesh-colored or reddish-brown papules which are usually present on upper limbs. Warts are tumours or growths of the skin caused by infection with Human Papillomavirus (HPV).They are contagious when in contact with the skin of an infected person. It is also possible to get warts from using towels or other objects used by an infected person.

Exactly what it is can be confirmed only after examination and biopsy. So I would suggest a dermatologist’s consultation.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
