3 years ago, at 11 years old, I encountered a horrible accident. I got boiling hot water spilled all over my right shoulder. Shocked, I ran into the bathroom and tried to cool down the burned area with the running tap water.
There were huge blisters. It was a 2nd degree burn according to the doctor.
After a month of treatment and sanitizing, the burn healed but it left a pretty large smooth (like my original skin) scar (length: around 7cm - width: around 5cm).
I used this cream called Reneetov for half a year; the scar slowly began to match my skin color.
To prevent direct contact with the sun, I've been wearing T-shirts only for 3 years so that they could cover my scar. So the scar and the shoulders area are white while the other parts are tanned. If you look closely, the scar is a little bit red and has dots.
A week ago, I went to the beach and decided to expose my shoulders to the sun. The white shoulder part including the scar has now almost perfectly matched my tanned skin color. I can wear tank tops now.
And due to sunburn, my red shoulders are currently itchy and make me wanna scratch them.
I have a few questions:
1) Has my scar stopped developing and became normal skin? (now after 3 years???)
2) What if I continue to wear T-shirts? Will the scar remain DARK or it will slowly lighten its color along with my other parts of skin?
3) Is there any treatment (ex: lazer) that can lighten my scar in the future?
4) Do I have to eat any specific food?
Please clarify my doubt. Thanks in advance.
