Cold sore or fordyce spots on lip

Hey i'm a 18 year old male.  I recently looked into the mirror and tightend my top lip and found many white-yellowish tiny painless bumps.  They are mainly along the top of my lip but i have a few groups of them on the lower part of my top lip.  I don't remember the last time I have had a cold sore.  The reason this has concerned me is because 5 days ago my girlfriend and I had bref oral sex, me oral to her vag.  Since then to my knowlege my girlfriend hasn't had anykind of outbreak, praise the lord.  I really pray and hope that these tiny bumps are only fordyce spots not cold sores, I also hope that my girlfriend will not get herpes.  If you know anything about either one of these cold sores and or fordyce spots PLEASE HELP!

Hello,
From the symptoms it looks like Fordyce spots and not cold sores. In cold sores, pain, burning, tingling, or itching occurs at the infection site before the sores appear. Then clusters of blisters erupt which break down.

Fordyce spots are small yellowish-white granules on the inner surface and border of the lips. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Fordyce spots probably were there and perhaps would remain, being normal glands with a little enlargement.
