Concerned about a growth

I have had a hard growth just under the foreskin of my penis since I was about 15. It is round and flat and about the size of a lentil. It never bothered me before but last night I felt an irritation and a looked and saw that it was pertruding through the skin. With very little effort i was able to push it through the skin. There was a little puss and very little bleeding. What could this be?

Hey Vanessa. Is it possible for a gland or follicle to be blocked for 14 years?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi

This may be a blocked sweat gland or follicle. This appears to be infected. The fact that this has been present for quite some time may not suggest an STD. Just observe the condition. If there is no intense pain and if there is no profuse bleeding or pus discharge, then this may heal spontaneously. If the redness and the discomfort persists then this may need topical antibiotics.
