Sticky hands

After rinsing and drying my hands they feel sticky until completely dry then not sticky.  What could cause this?
I keep wondering if it something in my water as my son has noticed the same thing.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello!
What are the other symptoms you have been having? Do you also have any rash, discoloration or pain? It is quite possible that you are suffering from sticky skin syndrome. In this condition there is excessive stickiness of skin after washing or bathing.Hyperhidrosis could also be causing it. Another possibility is a skin fungus or an allergy to fungus you have been exposed to. Try using a low ph liquid soap. Drink plenty of water and keep yourself well hydrated. These are only a few possibilities. It is best to see a dermatologist and get the cause confirmed. Only external examination can confirm the diagnosis. Since your son is also having similar symptoms do get checked the water source and the quality of water. Do keep us posted.
Take care and good luck!
