Do I have fordyce and how can I get rid of them

I’m a bit of a lip balm addict so then when I couldn’t find lip balm for about a week my lips got all chapped, then I got some lip balm finally and now ive got little bumps all over my lips that are a bit itchy and swollen but not really any pain. I think they’re lacking moisture so excess sebum has come out causing fordyce spots. But let me know!

Not sure why you couldn't find any lip balm, but I'd ask, is it a different brand than you usually use?  Might be an allergic reaction.  It is true that if you get used to using moisturizers anywhere on your body all the time, and I'm like that with lip balm, your body will react to that and miss it when it's gone.  I use an extremely natural product, but most products you find in drug stores or grocery stores are full of ingredients that can be problematic and you might have run into one.  If you found the same brand you've always used and it never bothered you then of course it's a different problem.  I'm not sure why you think sebum would come out of dry skin that has no infection or pimple or other growth.
