Sticky skin in genital area?

I've been having sticky skin on my scrotum and shaft for a while now, where it will just stick together like there is some sort of weird adhesive there. It's extremely irritating and uncomfortable. Sometimes I'll get a really slight burning sensation on the skin there, but not often. Also there is no itch at all. I don't thinks it's from sweating either. It's the worst after I take a shower, either in hot, warm, or cold water, doesn't matter. I've been using a fairly gentle soap too, at I'm pretty sure it is. I've seen my doctor, urologist, and a dermatologist about this. Anti-fungal, A+D Ointment(doctor said to try) didn't work.I didn't really get anywhere with it until I went to a dermatologist. She gave me xolegel and pramosone, and said the problem may be related to my face, since I have dry skin. I'm pretty sure she said they were interchangeable meaning I could use them in either area, but not positive. She kind of rushed me out of there though. I tried to explain further, but..yeah.

I used the xolegel and it worked decently on my face but not in the genital area. I have yet to try pramosone since it wasn't covered by my insurance and figured I would just wait to see if the other one worked first. Also because I read the pramoxine in it causes a loss of feeling in the skin, and that really doesn't sound too great for that area. Now I'm wondering if it is ok to use for 1. this "condition" that has yet to be actually diagnosed, and 2. for the genital area? If not, what would you recommend? Or have you had this experience before?

I'm 20 years old, have not have sexual intercourse, etc. I feel like I'm losing any sexual desire because of this and I don't know what to do. Could it be eczema, can you have that without any itching? Dry skin? Should I try a moisturizer? Would the pramosone be ok to try? Thanks for any and all help.

I'm 54 and have the same issue, it started about 1 month ago, my skin sticks to my underware and then when I take my underware off, skin remains on underware. I wash 3-5 times daily down there, nothing seems to help. I just started using baby powder, that's helping with the skin sticking to underware but not sure what this secretion is or how to eliminate it. Let us know if you found a perminent solution.

I am in the same situation i can suggest to buy happysacs or to put a sock(yeah a sock but to be short one but I am not sure it is good for the scrotum but I use this method and I feel comfortable for most of the time) to keep the scrotum divided from the legs. Did you find the solution for the problem?

A doctor who rushes you through his or her office without making sure you understand what your problem is and how his/her prescriptions are supposed to help cure it, is NOT a doctor who CARES.  See another dermatologist right away!  You deserve answers and help.
