Dry Flaky Scrotum

Hello there

This is the first time i am sharing my problem with someone. I had a flaky scrotum with kind of flaky blackish/dark brownish spots over it. It was like this for a few years. I just couldn't talk to such problems with anyone around.
Few days back i searched over the internet for possible solutions and found people recommending calamine lotion. I purchased that from the market and applied it on the skin. It felt uncomfortable first but then it felt better. I tried it twice a day for 2 days. On second day i went for my daily jog in the eve. i felt uncomfortable i walked slowly then normal. Then that night i applied the lotion again and felt really uncomfortable in the night and in the morning all hell break lose.
It was really paining and uncomfortable on the right side. The skin got more dry and itchy and painful. and on the right side there was this kind of red rash at small spot and skin there was red there like the upper layer has been removed. It was yesterday morning and till the evening there was this kind of liquid coming out of that spot. The painful feeling comes and goes but feeling uncomfortable continuously.

Please help
Thank You

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
The symptoms are suggestive of contact dermatitis. Avoid using any lotions and creams for the meantime. Wash the area with a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Then apply a good hypoallergenic moisturizer over the area and see if this improves. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid like dermacort and take anti allergic medicine like Benadryl.

If the irritation persists then get it evaluated from a dermatologist.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Get Thee to a dermatologist!  But if you must try stuff on your own, I would perhaps try a topical antifungal.
