Elidel or alternative for seborrheic derm?

I have seborrheic dermatitis which mainly shows up around my nose. A couple years ago a dermatologist prescribed Elidel and gave me a sample. I used the sample and it worked pretty well - the only thing that has worked. However I did not go and get the prescription because I did some research on Elidel and found that it was related to some cases of cancer. I would really like to use it, or an alternative, but I am worried about the risk of cancer directly related to Elidel.

what about the video and information on this page then? http://www.protopiclawyers.com/
it specifically talks about the drug in the cream form, not pill, and has a few personal accounts of developing skin cancer.

The cancer cases are related to people taking an oral version of the drug. Their are no cases of cancer related to the cream. Your body doesn't absorb the drug that easy. Still any drug is dangerous to take long term. I would take a look at how much how often and how old you are. Then just how bad does it get,
I am currently having a problem with my scrotum skin. Nothing has worked but no one has been able to say exactly what it is. The skin just stings for minutes or hours then goes away. No rash no itching just irritation.
