Flat, darker & circular discoloration spots near groin in woman?

I have a few of these circular darker spots near my groin. They have grown in number since noticing the first & I haven’t had any luck on google. I’m 22 years old and I’m not sure this is normal. They have a different feel to them than my normal skin, almost softer. If I can attach a picture I can. Thank you in advance!

Have you had them your whole life?  Some spots are normal, it could be a type of birth mark or really anything- if you have had them your whole life.  If they just appeared, any skin condition that seems to appear out of no where is worth getting looked at by a doctor.

They just started appearing in the last few months, never had them before now. Its definitely not a birth mark, I’m not sure it’s even possible to develop those at my age? I’m making an appointment with my dermatologist to have them look at it. I’m trying to hold back from googling it, but it’s hard not to when it’s this odd!

If they are just appearing, you are right- not a birth mark.  Were you able to get into the dermatologist already?  How did it go?
